Our client, one of the largest independent private client firms on the island, is seeking a skilled and motivated Client Accounting Manager to join their team. Responsibilities:

  • Review team work to ensure high standards and accuracy.
  • Address queries and assist with administrative tasks during and after account preparation.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the Transformation team to automate accounting tasks across jurisdictions.
  • Oversee team administration, including timesheet review, holiday approvals, and work delegation.
  • Manage staff performance through clear objectives, performance reviews, and coaching.
  • Support individual development and monitor progress.
  • Meet deadlines while maintaining positive relationships with colleagues and staff.
  • Provide training and support for accounts preparation to team members and staff in other jurisdictions.
  • Deliver annual bookkeeping refresher courses for trust staff.
  • Coordinate bookkeeping training for new staff.
  • Assist in preparing annual financial statements for the Firm.
  • Help prepare the annual Client Accounting team budget.
  • Perform any other relevant duties as required.

Requirements:

  • ACA/ACCA qualification (or equivalent) or significant managerial client accounting experience.
  • Strong people and team management skills.
  • In-depth accounting and technical expertise.
  • Ability to manage change and lead automation projects.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organisational and planning abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
