Our client, a boutique independent service provider within the private wealth services industry, specializes in international tax consultancy, fiduciary and trust services for entrepreneurs, expatriates, private individuals, and families. The company's highly skilled and multilingual teams of tax, financial/commercial advisers, and accountants are strategically located across offices worldwide.

An exciting opportunity awaits for a Client Relationship Manager in the Fiduciary/Trust Services division for the London office. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role within a team dedicated to providing comprehensive Corporate and Trust administration services. This role involves managing a diverse portfolio of clients and structures while interacting with business partners and providers across Europe and worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a portfolio of clients with different company structures and trusts across various jurisdictions, maintaining regular direct contact and providing high levels of service.
  • Assisting in the setup of companies in accordance with prevailing national and international legislations.
  • Playing a key role in establishing and managing trusts under common law and foreign jurisdictions, including drafting statutory documentation and overseeing the preparation of financial statements for underlying companies.
  • Carrying out statutory and governance work, including the production of minutes, for companies across multiple jurisdictions within filing deadlines.
  • Preparing trustee resolutions, minutes, and notices, conducting annual and quarterly trust and company reviews, and resolving any arising issues.
  • Managing client bank accounts, executing required money transfers, payments, and transactions across various currencies, while maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Supporting the firm's accounting department, including preparing accounts for trusts and overseas entities.
  • Providing comprehensive Company Secretary duties, composing legal documents and letters relating to client transactions, and submitting documents to relevant authorities.
  • Participating in business development efforts, contributing to marketing initiatives, and facilitating the onboarding of new clients.
  • Conducting research on tax requirements and providing clients with informed advice.
  • Ensuring all transactions adhere to internal procedures, anti-money laundering (AML) regulations, and national and international legislations, while maintaining compliant documentation.
  • Maintaining meticulous compliance files for clients.
  • Preparing for and conducting regular client meetings.
  • Providing billing support and debt collection when required, alongside regular income collection forecasts and proposals.
  • Engaging with external parties to source required information, including regular interaction with banks, solicitors, and agents.

The Successful Candidate:

  • A minimum of 5-10 years' experience within a Trust Company, Multifamily Office, or International Chartered Accountancy firm.
  • Profound technical expertise in international tax matters, trust management, and wealth management, with a focus on private client services.
  • Demonstrated managerial experience in an international context or as a specialized solicitor/accountant in international tax.
  • Excellent grasp of complex Fiduciary Structures, combined with a strong understanding of statutory filing requirements.
  • Advanced comprehension of Company and Trust law, as well as statutory and regulatory obligations.
  • In-depth knowledge of trust transaction coding, fiduciary income tax, principal and income accounting, and interpretation of trust documents.

Qualifications:

  • Desirable qualifications include ICSA/Governance Institute, STEP, ACA, ACCA.
