Join our client an independent trust company within their Compliance team to support daily operations and engage in various projects. This role provides an opportunity to develop your Compliance knowledge and skills within a small, collaborative team. You’ll have the chance to advance your career with guidance and support from senior team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a point of contact for compliance-related queries within the business.
- Assist the Risk and Compliance department with general tasks.
- Contribute to writing and reviewing policies and procedures, identifying ways to improve efficiency.
- Develop and maintain test sheets for the Compliance monitoring program.
- Conduct testing as required by the Compliance monitoring program.
- Help prepare compliance monitoring reports in collaboration with the Money Laundering Compliance Officer.
- Manage actions related to automated screening systems requiring Risk and Compliance input.
- Support the Risk and Compliance team with ad-hoc information requests from the Jersey Financial Services Commission or other regulatory bodies.
- Promote best practices and ensure adherence to the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018.
- Monitor and report on news, press releases, public statements, and financial sanctions from the Jersey Financial Services Commission.
- Undertake client-specific or project-related tasks to support the company.
- Prepare management information and key performance indicators for Risk and Compliance reporting to the Board and relevant committees.
- Maintain regulatory registers under the compliance team’s oversight.
- Develop a strong understanding of Jersey's statutory requirements.
