Our client is a global, independent fiduciary services provider, offering tailored solutions to high-net-worth individuals, families, and institutions with operations in Guernsey, Jersey, Geneva, and Dubai, the company has a dedicated team of around 150 professionals, including approximately 40 based in Guernsey. The team is highly experienced in wealth and estate planning for private clients, as well as managing complex structures for both individuals and institutions worldwide.

Our client is looking for a Senior Accounts Officer to join their team. This role will involve working closely with colleagues to maintain accurate financial records for a portfolio of Trust, Company, and Private Client relationships, ensuring high standards of service are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Trust and Company accounts in line with regulatory and client requirements
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping to meet filing deadlines for tax and regulatory purposes
  • Review financial records, including bank and investment portfolio reconciliations, and resolve discrepancies
  • Compile and produce financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements
  • Offer in-house technical support and guidance on accounting matters
  • Drive the implementation of new systems, procedures, and standards to comply with internal and external requirements
  • Prepare accounts for in-house companies as required
  • Build relationships and liaise with investment managers, bankers, and other professional advisors as needed
  • Support special projects and contribute to ad-hoc assignments
  • Stay current with compliance regulations and anti-money laundering practices
  • Perform additional duties as needed

Candidate Profile:

  • Proven experience in a similar accounting role
  • Part-qualified or willing to work towards a professional qualification (AAT, CAT, ACCA, ICA)
  • Enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and highly organised
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient in IT systems, DMS, and databases; knowledge of NAVOne is a plus, but not essential
