Our client, one of the largest independent private client firms on the island, is seeking trust professionals to join their expanding team. They offer flexibility in role level and are open to applications ranging from Senior Administrator to Assistant Manager. Responsibilities will be adapted to match the successful candidate’s expertise, experience, and position level.
Responsibilities:
- Build strong client relationships, understand client objectives, and deliver prompt, high-quality service.
- Perform day-to-day bookkeeping for companies and trusts to trial balance, producing accounts with support and training.
- Maintain statutory records and manage a client portfolio, ensuring tasks meet deadlines and targets.
- Pursue trust qualifications and participate in courses to enhance technical expertise.
- Oversee junior staff, delegate tasks effectively, provide constructive feedback, and foster a positive work environment.
- Regularly review workloads with management to prevent backlogs and meet financial targets.
- Support account production, adhere to office policies, and undertake tasks as directed by your manager.
- Act as a ‘C’ signatory, fully familiar with signing authority policies.
Requirements:
- Professional trust qualification (e.g., STEP or Chartered Governance Institute) or a willingness to pursue qualifications.
- Strong technical knowledge in trust and some tax knowledge, depending on the role level.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships across all levels.
- Strong organisational and planning abilities with keen attention to detail.
- Collaborative approach with a dedicated, proactive, and professional work ethic and commitment to best practice.
