Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Trust professional to join their growing business. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of trusts and entities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing expert guidance on tax efficiencies for high-net-worth clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a portfolio of trusts, including UK, offshore, and charitable trusts.
Liaise with clients, their professional advisers, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation of trust entities.
Conduct periodic reviews of client files, investment performance, and trust operations.
Review and prepare trust accounts, tax returns, and financial statements.
Prepare inheritance tax forms, calculate trust distributions, and ensure accurate maintenance of ledgers and cash-flow schedules.
Prepare bills, perform WIP analysis, and manage financial aspects of client portfolios.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including CRS, FATCA, Economic Substance, BO Registers, Trust Registers, and AML.
Review and draft deeds, trustees' resolutions, and other required documentation.
Liaise with tax authorities (e.g., HMRC, IRS) and work towards tax efficiencies for UK-domiciled clients, focusing on inheritance tax (IHT), capital gains tax (CGT), and other relevant areas.
Prepare and review trust-related documents, including minutes, resolutions, and other legal documents.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of trust activities, ensuring that all necessary documentation is in place and compliant with regulatory standards.
Maintain and strengthen client relationships through regular communication, meetings, and by addressing any concerns or issues that arise.
Work closely with investment managers, lawyers, corporate trustees, and other professionals to ensure seamless trust administration.
Qualifications and Experience:
Relevant demonstrable experience gained within trust and probate professional services. Formal qualifications are not necessarily required but CTA or STEP considered a bonus.
Extensive experience in trust administration, with a proven track record in managing high-net-worth client portfolios.
Strong understanding of UK and offshore trust structures, tax implications, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage client relationships effectively.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on delivering high-quality client service.
