We are seeking an experienced Senior Trust Administrator to join an independently owned company based in Guernsey. The company is small at the moment but with plans to grow, so an excellent time to join and be a part of the succession planning.

The company has an excellent reputation on island and they work with fascinating clients. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of trusts and companies for UHNWI’s and entrepreneurs, as well as assisting with the supervision and training of junior staff members.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing a portfolio of trusts and companies, including ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.

  • Supervising and mentoring junior staff members, including providing training and guidance as necessary.

  • Coordinating with external advisors, such as lawyers and accountants, as necessary.

  • Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and tax returns.

  • Liaising with clients and responding to queries in a timely and professional manner.

  • Monitoring trust and company investments and ensuring they are managed in accordance with client instructions.

  • Attending client meetings and assisting with the preparation of meeting minutes.

  • Assisting with the management and administration of client structures, including overseeing the maintenance of accurate records and ensuring all documentation is up to date.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in trust administration.

  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and develop junior staff members.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Good communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and external advisors.

  • A good understanding of relevant legislation and regulations.

  • Relevant professional qualification such as STEP or ICSA would be an advantage.
