Our client is seeking an experienced Manager to join their Family Office team in Jersey. This role involves leading the administration of a varied client portfolio, managing complex transactions, and providing guidance and oversight to junior team members. The successful candidate will ensure high standards of service delivery, maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, and contribute to the development of the team and business objectives.
Perfect for an experienced finance professional with a minimum of 5 years in the industry and a background in family office services. Exposure to real estate transactions or property-related structures will be highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with senior management to deliver efficient, high-quality service across client portfolios.
Support the management team in implementing divisional strategy and achieving business targets.
Act as the first point of contact for team queries, providing technical guidance and support.
Build and maintain strong working relationships across departments and jurisdictions.
Oversee the administration of multiple client portfolios, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Lead team meetings and supervise junior staff, ensuring effective task delegation and completion.
Liaise with third parties such as lawyers, auditors, and investment managers as required.
Ensure accurate maintenance of trust records and database administration.
Oversee statutory filings and ensure deadlines are met.
Coordinate meetings, including preparing agendas and taking minutes.
Review and approve complex transaction documentation.
Oversee client onboarding, due diligence, and customer take-on procedures.
Monitor task lists to ensure timely completion of work.
Assist with drafting internal documents and provide general team administration support.
Ensure accurate time recording and review team time entries for compliance with procedures.
Monitor WIP and review invoices, ensuring accuracy and recoverability.
Review client financial statements and ensure adherence to internal standards.
Maintain mandatory AML training and attend additional training as required.
Mentor and supervise team members studying towards professional qualifications.
Provide one-to-one coaching and manage performance through reviews and objective setting.
Expected Skills and Experience
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the finance industry, with previous exposure to family office services preferred.
Relevant professional qualification in line with Table 5 requirements.
Working towards a Table 4 qualification such as ICSA or equivalent.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to delegate and oversee others effectively.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to motivate and lead by example.
Strong understanding of financial statements and company secretarial responsibilities.
Proven ability to coach and develop others both individually and in groups.
In-depth knowledge of Jersey statutory laws, regulatory requirements, and related legislation.
Understanding of cash management processes and systems.
Ability to interpret reports, procedure manuals, and performance measurement reports at client level.
