Associate Director – Private Clients

Our client, a specialist fiduciary services business in Jersey, is seeking an Associate Director to join its Private Client team.

This is a senior leadership role focused on team performance, client delivery, operational efficiency and high-quality service across the Private Client function. The successful candidate will oversee two teams through their Managers, ensuring work is delivered accurately, on time and in line with client, regulatory and business expectations.
 
The role will suit a qualified accountant or equivalent professional with strong leadership, organisational and delivery experience.

Prior private client experience is not essential, but the successful candidate must be confident managing teams, deadlines, KPIs, financial performance and process improvement within a professional services or regulated environment.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee two Private Client teams, ensuring strong delivery, clear priorities and consistent performance.
• Ensure client work is completed accurately, efficiently and within agreed deadlines
• Monitor KPIs, utilisation, service levels and team performance.
• Oversee WIP, billing, recoverability, budgeting and wider financial performance.
• Support process improvement, operational efficiency and technology-led initiatives.
• Assist with new business opportunities, onboarding and client structuring.
• Work closely with senior leadership to support high standards across the Private Client function.

Skills and Experience:

• ACCA, ACA, CA, SAICA or equivalent professional qualification.
• Strong leadership experience within fiduciary, corporate services, funds, accounting, audit or professional services.
• Proven ability to manage teams, deadlines and multiple workstreams.
• Commercial awareness, including exposure to WIP, billing, recoverability or budgets.
• Strong organisational skills with a structured and solutions-focused approach.
• Confident working in a regulated, client-focused environment.
