Our client, a specialist fiduciary services business in Jersey, is seeking a Senior Manager / Associate Director to join its Private Client division, with responsibility for leading and improving its Pension Administration team.
 
This is a senior leadership role focused on team performance, KPI management, process improvement, operational efficiency and technology-led delivery. 
 
Prior pensions experience is not essential. The role would suit a qualified accountant or equivalent professional with strong leadership, project management, process improvement and delivery experience. The successful candidate must be confident managing teams, deadlines, KPIs and operational performance within a professional services or regulated environment.
 
The client is particularly interested in individuals with a strong technology mindset, including experience or interest in tools such as Alteryx and Power BI. The role will involve reviewing current processes, identifying where efficiencies can be made, and working closely with operations to streamline and automate workflows.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor KPIs, deadlines, workloads and wider team performance.
  • Support the Team Leader with planning, escalation points and more complex client matters.
  • Review current processes and identify opportunities to streamline, automate and improve efficiency.
  • Work closely with operations to improve workflows and reporting through technology-led solutions.
  • Use Power BI dashboards and other reporting tools to monitor performance.
  • Support oversight of WIP, debt, billing and wider financial performance indicators.
  • Help improve accountability, planning and delivery standards across the team.
  • Assist with new business onboarding and implementation where required.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to support high standards across the Pension Administration function.
Skills and Experience:
  • ACCA, ACA, CA, SAICA or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
  • Strong leadership experience within accounting, audit, fiduciary services, funds, operations, project management or professional services.
  • Proven ability to manage teams, deadlines, KPIs and multiple workstreams.
  • Strong process improvement, project management or operational delivery experience.
  • Must have interest in technology, automation, workflow improvement and data-led reporting.
  • Experience with Alteryx, Power BI, NAV or similar systems is preferred.
  • Commercial awareness, including exposure to WIP, billing, debt, recoverability or performance metrics.
  • Confident, resilient and comfortable influencing others in a team environment.
