Director – Trust

We are partnering with a highly respected independent fiduciary services business in Guernsey as they seek to appoint a Trust Company Director to join their senior leadership team.

As Trust Company Director, you will work closely with fellow Board members and senior leadership to oversee the delivery of high-quality trust and corporate services, contribute to strategic decision-making, support regulatory and risk management initiatives, and help drive the ongoing growth of the business.

Operating within a flat and collaborative structure, you will act as a trusted adviser to client service teams and fellow stakeholders, providing technical expertise, guidance and leadership across a wide range of fiduciary matters. This is a broad role that offers genuine involvement in all aspects of the business, rather than responsibility for a single department or silo.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the strategic leadership and long-term development of the business.
• Provide oversight and guidance across trust and corporate services operations.
• Support Board-level governance, risk management and regulatory compliance activities.
• Act as a senior technical resource for management and client service teams.
• Participate in key business projects and growth initiatives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, intermediaries and professional advisers.
• Promote a culture of professionalism, integrity and exceptional client service.
• Support the continued enhancement of operational effectiveness and business performance.

The Successful Candidate

• Extensive experience within the fiduciary, trust and corporate services sector.
• Strong technical understanding of trust and company administration.
• Experience operating at Director, Board, Associate Director or senior leadership level.
• Solid understanding of governance, regulatory requirements and operational risk management.
• Commercial awareness and an appreciation of sustainable business growth.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A collaborative and hands-on leadership style.
• The ability to work effectively within a close-knit and entrepreneurial environment.
• A desire to build a long-term career within an independent and growing organisation.
