Trust Officer

Victus Search has been exclusively retained to appoint a Trust Officer on behalf of an established international financial services organisation in Bermuda.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established Trust business, taking responsibility for a portfolio of complex trusts and companies while developing relationships with beneficiaries, advisors and other key stakeholders.

Relocation to Bermuda can be supported for suitable international applicants.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and administer a portfolio of complex trusts and companies.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with beneficiaries, principals and professional advisors.

• Analyse and interpret trust deeds and related documentation, considering legal, tax, administrative and investment matters.

• Ensure trusts are administered in accordance with governing documents, relevant legislation and internal policies.

• Meet with beneficiaries and principals to discuss trust matters and identify changing requirements.

• Authorise transactions within agreed authority limits.

• Identify and escalate complex trust administration issues where appropriate.

• Maintain effective communication with clients, advisors and internal stakeholders.

• Monitor operational, AML and compliance risks and take appropriate action to mitigate exposure.

Experience & Skills

• Strong experience in trust administration and managing trust structures.

• Demonstrable ability to analyse and interpret trust deeds and related documentation.

• Sound understanding of fiduciary responsibilities, AML, compliance and operational risk.

• Strong judgement with the ability to manage complex client circumstances.

• Excellent client relationship, communication and organisational skills.

• Ability to work autonomously while effectively managing a portfolio of trusts.
