Overview

The Senior Trust Officer will take a lead role in trust administration, client relationship management, and business development within a growing Vero Beach office. This position offers the opportunity to influence office identity, strengthen client service delivery, and help expand the firm’s presence in the local market.

The ideal candidate will bring significant trust‑administration experience, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to a relationship‑driven, client‑first culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer trust, agency, and investment accounts with full documentation of transactions and communications.
  • Review client portfolios alongside internal investment managers to ensure alignment with objectives and risk profiles.
  • Complete annual trust account reviews, including fee assessment, investment evaluation, and risk analysis.
  • Interpret trust and estate planning documents and collaborate with clients’ attorneys and tax advisers.
  • Prepare materials for client meetings, including account reviews and estate or wealth‑transfer strategies.
  • Deliver high‑quality client service through proactive contact and timely issue resolution.
  • Build professional relationships across the local community, including attorneys, CPAs, business owners, and other centres of influence.
  • Lead business development activities, including networking, prospecting, and community involvement.
  • Support the establishment and cultural development of a growing Vero Beach team.
  • Contribute to general office operations to ensure an organised, client‑focused environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; CFP, CTFA, or J.D. advantageous.
  • 5–10 years of trust administration or fiduciary experience.
  • Strong understanding of Florida trust and estate administration.
  • Experience managing client relationships in a trust or wealth‑management capacity.
  • Familiarity with investment and portfolio management fundamentals.
  • Understanding of U.S. individual and trust‑related taxation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast‑moving, relationship‑focused environment.
  • Interest in community involvement and long‑term relationship building.

Work Environment

  • Primarily on‑site role with flexibility for off‑site business development activities.
  • Opportunity to shape and influence a newly expanding office environment.
  • Preference for candidates familiar with the Florida or East Coast market.
