A well-established fiduciary services firm is seeking an experienced Assistant Client Accounting Manager to join its team. 

The individual will be responsible for supervising a small team of accountants and bookkeepers at various levels, overseeing workflow of the client accounting function and ensuring timely delivery of accurate financial statements in a cost-effective manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review financial work prepared by the client accounting team to ensure high standards are maintained.
  • Supervise and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Collaborate with trust administration teams to resolve queries and finalise financial statements.
  • Support the development of policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency.
  • Act as liaison with transformation teams on automation initiatives across jurisdictions.
  • Produce accurate management information and monitor performance against targets.
  • Approve timesheets, manage holiday requests, and oversee work scheduling.
  • Conduct performance reviews and assist in setting team objectives.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to team members.
  • Prepare the annual team budget in coordination with the Finance Director.
  • Assist in the preparation of internal annual financial statements.

Candidate Profile:

  • ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with at least 1–2 years’ post-qualification experience.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, including trust and company financial statements.
  • Proven experience managing people in a remote setting.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing documentation.
  • Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to process improvement.
  • Ability to work independently to meet deadlines and project goals.
  • Commercial awareness and a commitment to client service excellence.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities including integrity, discretion, and tact.
