Tax and Trust Manager

A well-established law firm with a respected Private Client team is seeking an experienced Tax and Trusts Manager. This role offers the opportunity to work with a varied and high-quality client base, providing expert advice and support across a wide range of tax and trust matters. The successful candidate will enjoy a high level of autonomy and be part of a collaborative and professional team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage tax compliance for individuals, trusts, and estates
• Prepare tax returns and trust accounts
• Advise on income tax, CGT, and inheritance tax matters
• Handle trust terminations and related documentation
• Maintain records on HMRC’s Trust Registration Service
• Oversee ATED, FATCA, CRS, and Swiss tax filings
• Support clients with Making Tax Digital
• Liaise with trustees, beneficiaries, and professionals
• Maintain client relationships and manage billing
• Stay current with tax legislation and best practices

Candidate Profile:

• 10+ years’ experience in tax compliance
• Strong knowledge of trust law and tax regulations
• Able to manage a busy caseload independently
• Organised, empathetic, and client-focused
• Collaborative with excellent communication skills
• Analytical, professional, and commercially aware
• Flexible to meet occasional non-routine demands
